I swear, I’ve been staring at the screen all morning, blank spaces running through my head. It’s quiet and calm here in Tulsa. Rain is looming on the horizon (much needed precipitation).
The dogs are all quiet and content, gnawing on Jones bones or napping.
My children are sleeping off late nights working. Hunny has gone to work. And I’m contemplating going back to bed. Except …
Except life still happens. Remember the posts about all natural soaps? How much I love handmade soap? I also make my own laundry soap. If I want to get dressed tomorrow, not stay in my pajamas all day, I need to make a batch of laundry soap today. Though staying in my pjs does have a certain appeal.
Except the chickens need to be fed. Excuse me a moment …
Except Jimmy the Duck needs a little one-on-one time.
Except a friend is moving out of town and I promised to help her pack later today. Except all kinds of little things that just need to be done. Including finding small dogs to photograph for the blog.
Is it only Thursday?
So, while all’s quiet here today, life still needs to happen. The curse of being the mama and having multiple critters. Oh! And I need to begin sanding today. That’s a post for another time, but I do want to ask your opinion – wooden bar stools. I’ll be sanding the seats, then burning designs in them. Any ideas for designs? Someone suggested donkeys, which I LOVE. But I’m looking for other ideas as well. Thanks.
