Every Tasty Tuesday (thanks to Kol and Sugar), I write about the featured treats for the month. It’s a really fun part of my job, writing about the treats, since I love them so, as do my dogs. Today, though, and in December, we’re discussing the Canine Christmas Cruncher stocking, which is filled with five glorious treats, three of which are long-lasting gnaws. And I’m torn. Which is the better bone? The Center Bone or the Knee Cap? *sigh*

The two inch Center Bone, still with the original meaty bits clinging to it, is delicious, if dogs are to be believed. Check it out:

The two inch Center still has marrow in it. It’s one of the Jones top ten dog favorites. And it’s been dipped in an all natural liquid smoke before being slow roasted. Cut from a beef femur, the Center Bone is sturdy. If I was a gnawing kind of girl, I’d probably chew on one myself. My own dogs gnaw off all of the meaty bits and marrow, then leave it for Chewy, the little dog. Chewy has several Center Bones in his collection and rotates through them regularly.

But the Knee Cap – well, that’s a solid little bone. At about three inches long, the Knee Cap isn’t huge, and shouldn’t go to your giant breeds, like Newfoundlands and Mastiffs, but for small to medium dogs, it’s a win. This bone covers and protects a joint, making it the most sturdy bone out there. Knee Bones never go away, is what I’m saying. So if your dog is a bone lover, then this is THE bone for your dog.

The Knee Cap also has a touch of natural liquid smoke. Shoot, that smell makes ME drool. Seriously. Makes me wonder if I’d like gnawing on a Jones Knee Cap …

What’s not to love, right? So how do I choose between the Beef Center Bone and the Beef Knee Cap? I don’t they’re both included in the Canine Christmas Cruncher stocking. Phew! Dodged that bullet!

Two more sleeps till Christmas! Here’s to a fat stocking full of treats hanging from the mantle for your dog this week. If it’s full of Jones Natural Chews, it’ll make your dog smile. Naturally.
Until I write again …
