Flotsam Friday

July 12, 2013

Okay, so it’s not really Flotsam Friday, it’s Follow Up Friday. And it’s our blogaversary month! We’re halfway through and will be having another great treat giveaway next Tuesday!

So what does Follow Up Friday mean? It’s a blog hop, hosted by Heart Like a Dog, and it’s just me answering the questions y’all asked in the comments over the last week. I love y’all’s questions. They make me think. Like this one, from Snoopy:
I wonder if RG will fly over here to California and pay me a visit? That would be fun! 🙂
Ryan Gosling, as y’all know, is the Canada goose which a friend brought over the weekend before Mother’s Day. He was about a day old then, and now he looks like this:

Ten week old Canada goose
Ryan is nearly eleven weeks old and handsome as can be

Isn’t he beautiful? I’m pretty sure he’ll fly away in a few weeks. If he does, it would be nice of him to fly around the country and visit my blog friends, including Snoopy.  Keep an eye out, peeps! Don’t let your pups bark at my Ryan!

JoAnn wants to know:
How did humperdinkle do after his surgery? Did you get him tonight or did he stay over?
Humperdink is our cute Holland Lop rabbit. He was neutered on Monday and is recovering quite nicely. A little frustrated that he can’t leave the cage for another week, but the dogs are greatly relieved. And yes, he came home the same day as the surgery. Evidently bunnies are different than dogs. And I’mma tell ya, the bags aren’t missing, merely deflated. Weird. TMI?

Regarding Monday’s funny dog commercials, Misaki asked if I’d seen this commercial:

OMD – no I hadn’t! Thank you, Misaki! I about died laughing, especially hearing the Queen classic, Flash!

Back to Humperdink, Emma asks:
Wonder if he will be different now as a “fixed” wabbit?
Emma, one can only hope. I’m thinking we’ll know by the end of next week.

We held a giveaway this week (which ended last night – but there will be another next week! Subscribe if you don’t want to miss it!), Dogmama has this to say:
I would prefer the steer sticks because they’re slightly less messy but I think Huffle would vote for the Crown Knuckle if he was allowed to vote. Mama’s votes are worth more, right? :)
Oh Huffle. I hate to break it to ya, but if the mama is in charge of the keyboard, then the mama is in charge of the voting. The good news is, it really doesn’t matter which treat you get if you win. You’re going to love them BOTH! They’re that good.

Keeshond and a Crown Knuckle
Jingle pretended that she liked the Steer Sticks best, but devoured the Crown Knuckle when my back was turned.

Emma asks about Ryan Gosling:
I wonder if Ryan will be an attack goose like those in the wild or if he will remain civilized having grown up with you???
Emma, if I had to guess I’d say he’ll be an attack goose. I haven’t really read about any goose, domestic or otherwise, that isn’t. And he’s already showing some tendencies, which is kinda nice. Just yesterday morning he and Jim chased off a hawk. I’d like to keep the goose now.

Y’all have a great weekend! Come back next week and we’ll have ANOTHER giveaway, as well as announce the winner of this week’s giveaway! And remember, if you can’t find Jones locally, there’s always the Natural Dog Treat Shop. But shop local first!

Until I write again …
