Is It Friday yet?

This has been the longest week in the world. I couldn’t tell you why, exactly. It just has. So Chewy and I have been waiting for Friday. He’s been asking me all week –

Questioning Affenpinscher mutt — “Is it Friday yet, mama?”

And every day I’ve had to tell him no. No, it’s not Friday yet. Poor dear. Wednesday was especially hard, having to put up with his worst storybook nightmare.

Headless horseman — Evidently bedtime stories are scary. Very scary. This dog needs a treat. And maybe a stiff drink.

So we’re asking, is it Friday yet? And yes, it’s finally Friday. What does that mean? It means –

Jimmy the duck in a purple hat? — Extra time chasing the backyard fowl

So when we ask, “Is it Friday yet?” this is what we’re really asking. We expect to spend the weekend relaxing, snuggling and smiling. How about you? What does your weekend hold?
