P.S. A Petey update! He still squeaks, so we still don’t know his gender. He’s only two and a half months old, so it’ll be a couple of months before we know for sure.
Jimmy is still super protective of little Petey. You almost never see one without the other. Petey is still young enough not to know danger, but Jim keeps an eye on the sky. They follow or lead me around the yard, depending on the situation. Typically Jimmy will give me The Eye, to let me know he’s ready to graze elsewhere, then wait for me to follow him. So I just wander around the yard after ducks for an hour. But sometimes I have work to do in the yard, especially things like filling their water and feeding them. Those times Jimmy follows me around. He doesn’t like to be far away.
