What Happens When I’m Gone

I got in last night, after driving all day. It was a gorgeous day to drive through Iowa, Kansas, Missouri and Oklahoma. And there was no Chewy when I arrived home. He was (is) still at Grandma’s house, walking and playing with his cousin, Honey. So I would know what happens when I’m gone, Grandma sent photos.

Walking the dogs — Frequently people are surprised when I describe how small Chewy is. If it helps any, Honey is the Shih Tzu on the left. She’s about 18 pounds. When I’m gone they take plenty of walks.

Sadie in a jacket — Evidently Grandma has been making little fall jackets for other dogs as well. This is Sadie in her lumberjack coat, waiting for a treat.

Chewy and Sadie — Sadly, I forget what kind of dog Sadie is, but seeing her next to Chewy, he looks quite thin. I think he needs more treats. Aren’t grandmas supposed to fatten up their granddogs?

Cute dogs — So this is Honey, Summit, Sadie and Chewy. Summit, a Tibetan Terrier, has an impressive coat and doesn’t need a fall jacket. I’m thinking they’re all waiting for some Jones Beef Liver Taffy.

Y’all, when I’m gone, Chewy is beautifully taken care of. The rest of the house and critters are a whole ‘nother story, since none of that is at Grandma’s house. Thankfully, the chickens and Jimmy are all still alive, as are Flash and Patches. But I’ll be doing laundry, cleaning the kitchen, grocery shopping and running errands today.
