Hoof for Dogs
The Hoof for dogs in the Canine Christmas Crunchers stocking from Jones Natural Chews continues to be a favorite for dogs. Hoof posts perennially have the highest search numbers on the blog, and my own dogs guard them with their lives. It’s crazy. All for a cow’s toenail.

This morning, for instance, my little Chewy had the one Hoof in the house, sitting in the middle of the living room floor, gnawing contentedly.
Patches, who’s 40 pounds heavier than Chewy, stood and barked at Chewy. I couldn’t figure out why for a moment. And she was going to wake everyone. Then I looked around the coffee table and saw it. Chewy had the Hoof for dogs. Patches wanted it. And she wouldn’t shut up. *sigh*

Last night even Flash was gnawing on the Hoof. For a long time. He NEVER wants a Hoof. I have no idea what that was about. Probably just because Chewy likes it.

Why Dogs Love the Hoof
Regardless, let’s talk about why dogs are so nuts over the beef Hoof, and why you’ll like it, too.
- The beef Hoof for dogs from Jones is all natural. It’s so all natural that hippies will dance and sing at the sight of it. No lie. It’s a single ingredient treat – just a cow’s toenail. No added ingredients.
- The Hoof is from an American cow. True. That might not make hippies dance and sing, but it’ll make every dog owner in America stand to attention. Made in America is more than just a slogan for Jones. It’s the real deal.
- The Hoof is a gnawing treat, meaning it will last for a long time. That also means that it’s great for your dog’s teeth and gums.
- The Hoof is cartilage, not bone, so there’s no real possibility of splintering, like there is with any bone. It just gets gummy and slick. Hmm. Not sure if hippies will sing and dance over that feature or not. But dogs sure as heck will.

What’s not to like? Even if you don’t get your dog a Canine Christmas Cruncher stocking this year for Christmas, find a Hoof. Or a bag of Hooves. It will definitely make your dog smile. Naturally.
Until I write again …
