Happy Tasty Tuesday, everyone! A couple of years ago I wrote an entire post about the Steer Stick. Because I blush when I even think of it, I’ll let you read it for yourself rather than rehash the details. Heh. First, let’s talk about chewing. The Steer Stick from Jones is a 100% all natural chew, meant to be consumed by your dog. Instead of a rawhide (rawhides don’t digest and Jones refuses to produce them), give your dog Jones’ single ingredient Steer Stick. It’s a long-lasting treat that dogs love. In my experience, Jones’ Steer Sticks have no real odor.
There’s no coating on the Steer Stick from Jones. Nothing baked into it. It’s just the pizzle from a steer.
Second, there’s gnawing. The L Bone is a gnawing treat. It’s just a bone, covered in the meaty bits it came with, a single ingredient, all natural treat. L Bones, like all bones, are meant to be gnawed on and are great for a dog’s dental health, the teeth and gums, but are not designed for eating. If your dog breaks a bone apart, or if it begins to splinter, please take away any pieces that are small enough to fit whole into the dog’s mouth.
